  3. Forever 8 - March 16.-18. 2007 08:08
  4. Its going to be 8th Forever in a row so
  5. this will be a kind of round aniversary
  6. ;-) Forever is an annual multiplatform
  7. 8-bit party held in Trencin/Slovakia.
  8.  
  9. The major plattforms are:
  10. ZX Spectrum (48/128) which is
  11. traditionally strong in released demo
  12. productions. They also have a strong
  13. ace up their sleeve - the most
  14. sympathetic foreveran - Gasman/Raww
  15. Arse a creative and smart gentleman
  16. whose witty crossplattfrom jokes became
  17. a traditional feature of Forever party
  18. compos. To add even more flavour of
  19. decent british humour, last time he
  20. brough another cool Speccy celebritney
  21. - Icabod - a raww.org scene news site
  22. maintainer. The list of other speccy
  23. celebritneys is so long, that I will
  24. keep it for another post ;-).

  26. Atari (800xl/130XE) which is getting
  27. stronger visitors & compo-participants
  28. base every year which makes us really
  29. proud and happy. They also have a
  30. strong representant in their troops.
  31. A dude called Raster whose demos,
  32. intros and even graphics became
  33. legendary for their humour, originality
  34. and presentation. Not to speak about
  35. ever growing polish creative scene
  36. base which maybe started slow in first
  37. years of Forever party, but now it
  38. shows that it must be counted with.
  39. ...and C64 - traditionally getting the
  40. richest scale of visitors from all
  41. around the europe but lately having the
  42. least supported demo compo of all 3
  43. plattforms which makes us feel
  44. humiliated and insecure ;-) (...can't
  45. get rid of habbit of writing in 3rd
  46. person).

  48. As for features. Last year we had
  49. more-or-less surprising visitors from
  50. Serbia, Jailbird and DaFunk who
  51. (according to JB) are plannig to repeat
  52. this trip again. We also had a live
  53. jamming Retroskoi session (idea by IDE
  54. developer - Visac/Cult) featuring
  55. TopSecret as improvisation leader and
  56. wannabe keyboardist with no experience
  57. (but substituting this handicap by
  58. enthusiasm) one an only - guess who
  59. would be so stupid - CreaMD.
  60.  
  61. The last year performance should be
  62. topped by this years attempt where we
  63. would like to have more computers
  64. playing live than last time (total 2
  65. ;-)).

  67. This year you can again expect the
  68. quizes, competitions, Music/Author
  69. guessing compos, presentations and
  70. other entertaining features as usual
  71. traditionally moderated by our
  72. courtspeaker Wotnau/Dmagic.

  74. As for the rest. You can be sure that
  75. C64 scene has the greatest (and most
  76. exhausting) music compos ever. The
  77. beautiefooliest GFX compos of all the
  78. platfforms. We also have the most
  79. beautiful sceners at the party (thanx
  80. to me, my sister and Wotnau). All we
  81. need to make our reputation solid and
  82. secured is to make some demos and 1k
  83. intros. So please, keep that in mind
  84. when thinking about participating/
  85. coming to Forever 8 party.
